We arrived excitedly at school ready for our first residential. Then we got on the bus and travelled to White Horse Hill. When we arrived, we walked along the Ridgeway to Wayland’s Smithy. On the way, we played on the path and explored the woods. There were some amazing dens and we really enjoyed climbing the trees. At Wayland’s Smithy, we had some sweets before walking back to the bus. We travelled on the bus to Court Hill where we would be staying the night. When we arrived, we looked at the amazing view and ate our lunch – you could see for miles and miles! We were then shown around another set of woods where we played for the rest of the afternoon. We built dens and played a game between Celtic tribes and the Romans. It was so much fun! Later, we found out who we would be sharing a bedroom with, had delicious spaghetti bolognaise and went for an evening walk. We ended the day by watching the sunset with a hot chocolate. What an amazing time we had!
